Our Commitment...
We commit to educate ourselves and others to spread the knowledge
and experience necessary for the development and betterment of the
American Lionhead breed.

We commit to breeding lionhead and holland lop rabbits with
companionship temperaments and physical type as described in the
ARBA standard.

We commit to being open and honest during discussion of all rabbits
available for sale

We commit to provide as much information about pedigree, health
history, or genetic  dispositions as possible to aid others in their choice of
a quality rabbit.
In order to understand our commitment to you as well as to our rabbit's well being,
please review the following statements regarding our policies and guarantees.  You
are always welcome to contact us.
Sales Policy:
We reserve the right to terminate a sale at anytime if we feel it is in the best interest of the rabbit.

Kits may be sold prior to 8 weeks of age but will not be available until they are 8 weeks old providing they are eating and drinking well
and are of good weight.

We will provide the buyer with a pedigree at the time of sale for breeding and show rabbits.  No pedigree will be given for pets.  We will
also provide a one week supply of food and in the case of pet rabbits, a care sheet.

All sales will be in cash unless the buyer is known to us.  Personal checks will be accepted for deposits only.  A 50% non-refundable
deposit will be required to hold a rabbit.  We will hold a rabbit for no more than 10 days unless it is under 8 weeks old at time of
purchase in which case the 10 days will start when the rabbit first becomes available to go.  After 10 days the rabbit will again become
available for sale unless special arrangements have been made.  Usually a boarding fee of $2 per day will be charged.

Our rabbits WILL NOT be sold for consumption by  human, animal, or reptile.

If at any time you are unable to keep your rabbit, please contact us to arrange for it's return.  We do not want any of our rabbits to be
surrendered to a shelter.  We do ask that you supply the cage your rabbit has been living in as we may not always have cage space
available and it generally takes a while to re-home them.  The cage will be returned when your rabbit gets a new home.  No refunds or
replacements will be given.
We do not guarantee to refund your money or
replace your rabbit(s)
if it becomes sick within 14 days of
sale due to any reason not directly traceable back to Winchester
Rabbitry (i.e., an accident, neglect, extreme temperature changes,
or bad feed, etc)  We will also not refund or replace should your
rabbit be injured or infected by another animal or by hurting itself
from natural causes (i.e., jumping, running, twisting,
,jumping/falling off high objects, etc.)  Rabbits can break bones
easily so care must be taken when allowing them free exercise.

We do not guarantee  against any congenital or
genetic disease or fault after 4 months of age.
 This
is including, but not limited to, malocclusion, seizures,
reproductive disorders, etc.  If you have reason to believe the
rabbit has a congenital or genetic disorder prior to 4 months of
age, please contact us so we may discuss your concerns.

We do not guarantee the fertility of any rabbit sold.

We do not guarantee, after the first 14 days, the
future personality of any rabbit sold.
 This is greatly
affected by the way the rabbit is handled and raised.

We do not guarantee that any rabbit sold will
mature to meet the standard as outlined by the
ARBA.

We do not guarantee the mane quality (in
Lionheads).
If a mane on a mature rabbit is required, you are
advised to purchase a mature rabbit.

We will not reimburse any veterinary bills you
incur for any reason.
 These expenses result from choices
made by you and are your responsibility.
Guarantee:

We guarantee that our rabbits are healthy at
the time of sale.
They have not been exposed to any
"outside" rabbits within the previous two weeks.  They show
no visible signs of disease, infections, wounds, or
deformities (unless otherwise discussed) at the time of
sale.  It is your responsibility to contact us immediately
should your rabbit(s) become ill so we may discuss the
problem and agree on a solution.  If we are unable to agree
on the reason your animal became sick or died, a veterinary
certificate will be necessary to prove the cause of the
illness/death.  We will refund your money or replace your
rabbit(s) if, within 14 days, it becomes sick and the illness
can be traced back to Winchester Rabbitry.  The decision to
refund or replace is ours based on availability of stock on
hand.  It is your responsibility to return the rabbit to us in
case of refund or replacement.  This is done at your
expense.

We guarantee our rabbits show no sign of
malocclusion (bad teeth) at time of sale.
 We
guarantee teeth up to 4 months of age.  We do not
guarantee that rabbits are genetically clear of the
malocclusion fault, only that they do not exhibit it at the time
of sale.  We will replace your rabbit, when comparable stock
becomes available, should malocclusion become an issue
during the first four months of age.

Our rabbits are sexed to the best of our
ability.
If, for some reason, a rabbit in incorrectly sexed at
time of sale, notify us immediately and return, at your
expense, the rabbit for a refund or replacement.

We will never sell a mean rabbit.  This is defined
as outwardly aggressive and vicious towards a human.  All
of our rabbits have been handled since birth.  Both sexes
can develop hostility when they go through puberty.  They
are also affected by how they are handled and the
environment in which they are kept.  If you are buying your
rabbit as a pet, we highly recommend spaying or neutering.
This will help reduce behavioural difficulties and is healthier
for your pet.  If you experience a temperament problem
within the first 14 days of your purchase, please contact us
so we may discuss solutions.  We will refund your money or
replace your rabbit if we agree that the problem is not being
caused by handling, care, or conditions.  The decisions to
refund or replace is ours, based on availability of stock on
hand.  It is your responsibility to return the rabbit to us in
case of refund or replacement.  This is done at your
expense.
